☞ EAT: Levain Targets Opening End of Month
The celebrated Upper West Side Bakery that is opening a shop in Harlem has announced they are targeting a debut at the end of the January. Levain Bakery just updated everyone via Twitter today on their plans to finally open the doors of their new storefront at just north of FDB/8th Avenue and 116th Street: LINK. Opening on time is a difficult task to achieve these days but we have noticed a lot of progress each day on the space (which is pretty much set up). The second photo down shows an image from Levain's Facebook site which shows that the bakery will be also offering some savory choices such as handmade pizza for those on the go: LINK. Otherwise, the major thing that Levain is mostly known for are their colossal cookies which are breathtaking to even look at. For those who dare, check out the unbelievable snapshots from yelp: LINK

Levain has no obligation to any other business in the neighborhood. I know this full well. But wouldn't it be great if they considered proposing to sell Lee Lee's rugelach in their store since their presence could signify the last nail in Lee Lee Bakery's coffin? Just a random communally driven thought I guess.
