☞ DWELL: 145 West 128th Street Townhouse
There are quite a few new modern contextual townhouses in Harlem that have the same designs as 145 West 128th Street and it will be interesting to see where the resale values land for these newish constructions. We're not sure if they were considered moderate housing when these home were planned about a decade ago but this particular 25 foot wide townhouse (right side) apparently is banking on its size to get at the current $2.5 million asking price. The 3-family, roughly 5,000 square foot townhouse arrived on the market a couple of weeks ago with one of the highest asking prices in the neighborhood. There are no interior photos to be found so we imagine just the basic builder grade finishes and the house is just a little over 3 blocks from the Lenox Avenue 2/3 express station on 125th Street. With all that said, this particular block isn't as charming as some of the brownstone street properties that have sold in the $2 million range in the past year and a major housing project complex is just a couple of doors down on ACP/7th.

Maybe it has very high end finishes, but the location is good in terms of convenience, but these newer buildings will never have the charm of a real 100 plus year old home, who knows, the right buyer may come along.
