☞ DWELL: 124 West 123rd Sold in January
South Harlem doesn't have a lot of wood frame houses left (since most are located above 125th) and the shell at 124 West 123rd Street might just become a restored one sooner than later. Located just west of Lenox Avenue, the 4-family townhouse that is part of three identical buildings has been in a dilapidated state for around a decade. From what we can see of the interior, there is a whole lot of nothing left to salvage and the overall condition is not all that good. With that said, the brownstone block that the house is located on has started to see better days and restorations abound in the immediate area. Number 124 seems to have been locked in some legal battles in the past decade with some questionable exchange of ownership based on public records. As of this past January, a law office sold the estate to a company under the name of York Equities on Long Island for $309K so it is now unclear as to what will happen to the property.
