☞ MEET: Another Thing Baking at 170 Lenox
Sunday, May 22nd, 2:00 PM, Bake Sale at 86 West 119th and Lenox Avenue (aka 170 Lenox). The landmark building over at 170 Lenox had much news this past year since the facade restoration finished up and Settepani Brick Oven claimed the corner space but tomorrow's bake sale might be something of interest to all the local renters out there. The building will be raising money in order to help transition from a rental into a co-op and Settepani will be supplying the brownies. City-owned buildings converting into co-ops happened more frequently a couple of decades ago so those curious about how this is done might want to drop by the bake sale and meet the neighbors.

not the most well-publicised event. I live on the block and this is news to me
ReplyDeleteHaven’t been up that way yet today but as of yesterday there were no signs of activity and certainly no signs or posters. ’spose I should stick my little head out and see what’s going on.
well, I think they will be selling to each other because there is no signage or signs of activity. Pity because if I knew they were going to be open when we catch the bus for church I would stop and buy something for coffee hour. . .
ReplyDeleteThank you all for coming out! We had great success despite the chilly weather. If you missed it: your next chance is June 12 during the Mount Morris Park House Tour.
ReplyDelete(Sorry for the lack of signage, they went up on Sunday morning...and during the week via twitter, facebook, email etc.)
