☞ REMEMBER: Old West Harlem YMCA circa 1913
We have seen photos of the old Harlem YMCA building on 125th Street that no longer exists today but there evidently was a more modest branch up in West Harlem in the early part of the last century. A postcard from 1913 shows a YMCA building that was located on 155th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue that no longer stands today. This is the first we have heard about this particular building and it appears to be on a lot that the Church of Intercession North Presbyterian Church has expanded into. Harlem's most famous YMCA building still holds court on 135th Street but might be sold off to raise funds for the organization as previous reported: LINK. Click on above archival image to enlarge
