☞ REVIVE: Progress at 229 West 131st Street
The former empty lot at 229 West 131st Street started having some activity on site last fall and the new house appears to be making some moderate progress. The top photo shows frame of the 2-family townhouse being set in October and the lower one is from last week. It appears that the facade layout is pretty traditional at this point and even has a modern stoop to the front entrance. All the floors don't quite line up with the surrounding houses but the overall proportion seems to work. This row of brownstones face a major housing project block just west of ACP/7th Avenue so it will be interesting to see if the property goes up for sale or becomes a rental.
