☞ BESPOKE: The Troycave in West Harlem
New York Magazine took a look at one West Harlem designer's 425 square foot rental apartment and found a few features that many homeowners would envy. Troy Smith is a fashion consultant for Urban Outfitters and the designer's abode also doubles as a cleverly concealed workspace. A sleek granite and metallic kitchen which was gut renovated this year also has a secret sliding door that raises to reveal a computer station which serves as an office. The rest of the "Troycave" has contemporary bones to it mashed together with a sort of eclectic early 80s vibe that mixes high end and affordable furnishings. Photo by Wendy Goodman. Its very inspiring what Troy has done with such a small amount of space. He really maximizes what he has and he has done such a great job.
ReplyDeleteLovely design, except the mural behind him gives me pause. I'm hoping he inherited that.
