The empty 20 foot wide, 3,040 square foot townhouse at 14 Convent Avenue has been on the market since early last year and now has sold as of this past April. This SRO property had been hovering at a low initial asking price of $575K but the entire building needed an overhaul and the location that has the MTA lot next door was not the most ideal. On the plus side, this intersection at 127th Street is pretty close to the A,B,C,D express train at 125th Street and the house had some minimal details inside. When the deal finally closed, the townhouse sold a little lower at $530K.
I just moved in across the street from there... will be interesting to see what happens with the place! (And from a selfish perspective, hopefully the construction isn't too loud :P)
