Soldaderas Unveiling at Modesto Flores Garden, Lexington Avenue between 104th and 105th Street. Artist Yasmin Hernandez's mural
Soldaderas which features Mexican and Puerto Rican icons Frida Kahlo and Julia de Burgos will be unveiled today in East Harlem. The event will include a blessing of the mural by the Kalpulli Huehuetlahtolli Mexica Dancers, a poetic procession to 105th and Fifth Avenue, a candlelit vigil and more.
