☞ REVIVE: 2054-2056 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd

The two tenement buildings at 2054-2056 ACP/7th Avenue have been under a major gut renovation since this past fall and it now appears things are quickly finishing up. A photo from last year shows that the back walls were missing at some sections of the 5-story structure located between 122nd and 123rd Street but walking by recently reveals a new outlook.  More photos after the jump.

This building today now has all brand new windows a restored facade, freshly painted cornice and a brand new storefront.  Looking at DOB permits, it appears to be privately owned and was originally an SRO situation but has now been converted to apartments.  The ground floor storefront has now been divided into two spaces and used to house the Candlelight Bar which is now long gone: LINK

  1. From what I could see walking by, the store front has a very classy look to it. Really hope they do something great with this place.
