Saturday, October 8th, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM 2nd annual Harlem Harvest Festival. The outdoor street festival will take place on St. Nicholas Avenue between 116th and 117th Streets and include a Farmers Market, Wine tastings, Taste of Harlem, Cook off, Live Music/Dance Theater of Harlem performance, Outdoor Yoga, Tai Chi, Capoiera classes and fun Children's Activities like Pumpkin Art, Face Painting, Apple Stamping, Gardening. Saturday, October 8th, 1:00 PM, Lil' Studio! Portraits at the Studio Museum in Harlem, 144 West 125th Street between ACP and Lenox. Join teaching artist Elan Ferguson for an art making workshop, where families will work together to collage a portrait inspired by Lyle Ashton Harris: Self/Portrait exhibition currently on view in the museum's galleries. Parents with little ones ages 2.5 to 4 are invited to the Studio Museum to enjoy art-making and other activities that encourage creative time and bonding. Pre-registration is required for this free program: LINK

Saturday, October 8th, 11:30 AM-1:00 PM, El Barrio Today Walking Tour, at El Museo del Barrio, 1230 Fifth Avenue and 104th Street. El Barrio Today Arts Cluster invites you to come explore the neighborhood. Highlights include the Graffiti Wall of Fame, Julia de Burgos Boulevard, local murals and much more. All tours leave from El Museo's lobby. In the event of inclement weather, a guided tour of the Permanent Collection will be offered in lieu of the El Barrio Today tour. FREE but RSVP required: LINK

Sunday, October 9th, 12:00PM - 4:00PM African Day Parade, beginning at West 135th and Lenox and continuing to 122nd Street.  is an annual parade organized in Harlem to bring together not only people born in Africa but people of Africa descent regardless of where they are born. It is a parade where everyone is unified as one people from one common set of ancestors . After the Parade there will be a festival with performers and presenters at Marcus Garvey Park: LINK
