☞ READ: Update on the Langston Hughes House

The New York Daily News has an article on the history of the the Langston Hughes House which is up for sale in East Harlem and reports that an offer has now been accepted on the home once owned by the poet.  Hughes' home from 1947 to 1967 has been up on the market since 2009 and the $1 million asking price has now attracted a buyer who has placed a lower bid on the brownstone at 20 East 127th Street which will need a total gut renovation.  A contract is not officially out yet but the owner of the building has reportedly accepted an offer in recent weeks so the property might just end up finally selling in the next few months.  Read more details on the history of the famous Harlem house in the Daily News: LINK
