☞ INTRODUCING: Mt. Moriah Lights Ups
The old Mt. Moriah church at 2050 Fifth Avenue has been shuttered for quite some time but the new owner now appears to be in the holiday spirit and has recently lit up the space at night. Swiss-born modern artist Ugo Rondinone purchased the church back in November and now neighbors are sending in photos of the the space at night which showcases illuminated stained glass in all the windows. This corner of 5th Avenue by 127th Street will eventually be an arts space for the community but the architectural elements of the old church have now added some nice ambiance to the block just by highlighting their existence.
