☞ REVIVE: Museum No Longer Named Ringgold
An article in The Art Newspaper has recently revealed that the new children's art museum planned for Sugar Hill will no longer be named after Harlem-born artist Faith Ringgold. The $74 million building at 155th and St. Nicholas place will be a mix of housing and a 15,000 square foot arts space which formerly had a moniker inspired by the notable African-American artist. A representative speaking on the project basically states that the museum will house various works from many different artists and to name it after one person might not be a good idea.
