☞ DWELL: 233 West 139th Street Still on Market
The townhouse at 233 West 139th Street has been on the market for the past 5 months at the initial asking price of $1.625 million but still has not found a buyer. This single-family house designed by notable architects McKim Mead and White is a generous 19.25 foot wide building and appears to have all the original details intact. Located on the Strivers Row landmark block, the 4,064 square foot home with a garage out back should be quite attractive to many but has not moved quite just yet. One of the main issues is that these striver rows property usually don't have a back yard since the garage spaces take over that part of the plot but some of them do have decks built on top of those former carriage houses. Deck photos are lacking on the broker site (and thus may be lacking in general) but more interior images can be found: LINK. What should this townhouse be priced at?
