☞ DWELL: 33 West 126th Street Brownstone
Number 33 West 126th Street just arrived on the market a couple of weeks back for the asking price of $1.3 million. The impressive 19-foot-wide, 3-family house has a unique bay window front that is quite rare uptown and apparently has been renovated but albeit in a very minimalist sort of fashion. This block located just east of Lenox Avenue's bustling restaurant strip, the Red Rooster and is close to the express train. With that said, there still are quite a few shells at this location and several stalled mystery developments. More details on the broker site: LINK

Take a heap o'$ to redo it but love the facade. Is it a nice block? I don't think I've ever walked it.
ReplyDeleteSanou's Mum, it doesn't look that bad as it is, does it? Looks like most apartments I have seen across the city (apart from the brand new condos and the 'original details' places). Needs some work, but not like it needs a gut reno.
ReplyDeleteBroker's site: 4 pictures (out of 9) of the facade! No floor plan!

ReplyDeleteNo. Needs some tarting up. That carpet's gotta go. Floors done , I'm a moulding freak so I'd do surrounds on the windows, crowns,
ReplyDeleteOh. Pretty much what I did with my gaff.
Next door is a homeless shelter - trumps all other issues.
