☞ DWELL: 249 West 138th Street Townhouse
OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, August 5th, 12:00PM - 1:00PM. Another Strivers Row house has appeared on the market at 249 West 138th Street for the asking of $1.9 million. The 2-family, 17-foot wide home with a garage out back was renovated in the past year and has quite a bit of original details intact. With that said, it appears that the kitchens and baths are all updated but are not entirely contextual to the landmark building. This location is on one of the most charming blocks in the city but the surrounding avenues of FDB and ACP do not have the best amenities yet. More details on the broker site: LINK

seems like a really good deal, no?
ReplyDeleteStriver's Row is the creme de la creme.
How can other places uptown ask for more.
I looked at a lovely place on Strivers' Row several years ago. I passed foe a few reasons. One--no garden. Two--it was a very grow up house and felt too formal for a woman with a zillion cats. But primarily I felt odd as a Caucasian looking to buy on a block that has been seen as the optometrist of success for upwardly mobile
ReplyDeleteOpitome of success for upwardly mobile Blacks. Felt wrong.
