☞ INTRODUCING: More Umbrellas on Lenox

Boulevard Bistro set up their umbrellas over the patio this weekend and the new eatery on 122nd Street is now one of many to do so in Harlem.  Just 5 years back, this sort of dining arrangement was just starting to happen in Central Harlem but the likes of The Red Rooster, Chez Lucienne, Corner Social Social, Sylvia's, Native and Settepani have all changed the look of Lenox Avenue's grand sidewalks. In  the near future, folks should also expect Barawine, Harlem Shake and that new yogurt shop to be adding even more seating on to the avenue. Then there is the former Lenox Lounge space and the bakery next door which we expect to also join in this popular uptown trend.

  1. and how about all the scaffolding that is all over Lenox? the place those things forever. Why nobody is complaining? Especially the one on Natives? you dont see any king of work on that building.

    1. The sidewalk scaffolding is a direct product of the dysfunctional bureaucracy of the city. Once the scaffold goes up it can stay for years.

  2. So nice to see more umbrellas on Lenox, the huge sidewalks are perfect for this. I like the awning on Harlem Shake, hope they have nice colorful umbrellas also. Nice photo.

  3. Has anyone seen the sign for a restaurant that's still in progress called Cherie (or something like that)? It's on Lenox near Harlem Haberdashery. Curious to know what kind of place that will be if anyone has info.

  4. @ Madame Jennifer: I think you ae taling about the place that is just down the block from Boulevard Bistro.

I know they had put out thier application for a license to serve Beer and Wine.

I'm assuming they are going to be a eatery like Il Caffe Latte.
