The demo work on the old parking garage at 655 St. Nicholas Avenue has finished up leaving behind a dramatic view of the retaining supporting the adjacent hillside. One can see that there are apartment complexes along with townhouse backyards at the top of the hill and the wall below appears to structurally hold everything in place. Construction apparently will be starting soon and folks should expect a huge residential development to rise in the upcoming months. Check out our past post for a rendering of the new construction:
