☞ ARCHITECTURE: The Alhambra Apartments
Harlem's famous Alhambra Ballroom on the corner of 126th and ACP/7th Avenue seams to have been used for commercial and residential purposes in the past. Walking by the 126th Street side of the building, we noticed a blocked up door with a portico that had "Alhambra Apartments" engraved on it. The building itself has been used as a ballroom, theater space and more recently as a bowling alley (now closed) but the apartments appears to have been phased out completely. More on the history of the Alhambra can be found in our past post: LINK
