REMEMBER: A MYSTERIOUS WAREHOUSE CORNER
Who can guess the location of these ornate townhouses located next too an impressive warehouse space taken in 1938? Only a couple of the homes still stand today and the large structure to the right of the row houses (at center of photo) is now a massive empty parking lot. Another clue for the history buffs out there is the elevated train tracks in the background.
ANSWER: West 123rd Street at St. Nicholas Avenue looking east towards 8th Avenue. At the far left is the Dwyer condos constructed on the base of the old warehouse and to the far right is the police station which now sits at this corner. Those who know their history will tell that the 8th Avenue elevated tracks used run up and down today's FDB.
