REVIVE: FOUNDATION SET AT WHOLE FOODS SITE
There still is a lot of foundation work happening on the Whole Food site at Lenox and 125th Street but at least most of the concrete has been poured now. This project on Harlem's main hub broke ground almost a year ago but nothing has actually risen on the site. There still is a pile of dirt at the south corner by 124th Street and a few steel beams have been place to retain the surrounding walls but the new construction has not added on levels. An opening date of somewhere next year is slated but things probably will not pick up until this lower level is 100 percent complete.

Yay! Glad to see progress. The foundation, from what I've been told, is usually the toughest part. Once that's finished, then the building itself can rise fairly quickly.
ReplyDeleteI think the ground works were quite an undertaking, now the structure can rise.
