A 16-foot wide townhouse at 237 West 136th Street has been on the market since September and has had the price gradually reduced from $2.1 million to $1.65 million. This block just east of FDB/8th Avenue (shown above in general view) is actually one of the more architecturally interesting ones that is not in a landmark district. The 2-family home has a lot of original details inside but is missing most of the amazing cornice outside that would have matched with many of the facades on the street. Subways and St. Nicholas Park are also just a short walk away to the west. Those looking for a house that does not need a gut renovation and priced under $2 million should check this one out:
