After being on the market for less than a month, Number 5 West 119th Street has a contract out on the townhouse just on the outskirts of the Mount Morris Park Historic District. For the asking price of $1 million, the home was picked up quickly but only measures barely 14-foot-wide. We are not sure about the SRO status and lack of interior photos probably means things needs to be really be renovated. This block of west 119th Street just east of Lenox Avenue has the most potential because of location but a handful of shells like the one to the left in the above photo still remain. With that said, we have seen more activity on this block and the those said shells seem to have been exchanging ownership this year. More details on the broker site:

That’s good. That’s a funky little grouping there and directly to the north is a small community garden and next to that vacant lots that reportedly will feature a building from the same people who brought us Fifth on the Park or whatever that tall building is called. . .
