Bagels can now be found in Harlem at many cafes or coffee shops but a good lox plate is still hard to find. Out of the few establishments that have the classic New York knosh, Il Caffe Latte on Lenox or the newer location
on West 145th Street serves up the most affordable platter at $9 per order. A generous amount of smoked salmon is offered up alongside a very toasted bagel, cream cheese, capers and fresh tomatoes. This specialty is only on the menu during lunch hours so make sure to drop by during the day or weekend to grab the classic bite uptown.
