Uptown Bounce: The Kick-Off, 104th Street and Fifth Avenue.
Join the City Museum and El Museo del Barrio for the kick-off event in our Uptown Bounce summer series—featuring music, gallery talks, art workshops, breakdancing, summer drinks, and local food. At the City Museum, do the New York Hustle as Operator Emz & DJ Joey Carvello of Mobile Mondays! spin classic vinyl 45s disco all night.
At 6:30pm, learn the New Style Hustle with dance maestro Jeff Selby, accompanied by Conga players. Chalk art by Kady Perry.
El Museo presents their summer exhibitions, and an interactive performance by Alicia Grullón, and a video by Louis Cameron.
All nights will feature art-making, music by DJ Turmix, and FEEGZ and crew on our sidewalks.
Admission is free, open to visitors of all ages; advance registration is required:
