BESPOKE: APPLES ON CONVENT AVENUE

Manhattan sometimes seems like a barren, concrete jungle so we are often surprised to see nature proliferating on some discrete corner of the city.  Fruit trees seem to do quite well uptown for some reason and we noticed another example of this phenomenon on lower Convent Avenue last week.  One of the landmark townhouses appears to now be a miniature apple orchard of sorts and the fruit on the tree looks really healthy.  We have also noticed what appears to be a peach tree seems to be doing quite well over on Astor Row during the summer but have not been by that address as of late.
