BESPOKE: SUNFLOWERS ON ASTOR ROW 2015

Last year we noticed a few sunflowers growing in one of the front yards over on historic Astor Row and now this summer has brought about an entire garden. The landmark townhouses over on West 130th Street by Lenox Avenue had been constructed over 100 years ago to have the aesthetic of a proper country home which included wood porches out front.  Other houses on the block have planted fruit trees, Japanese maples and rose bushes to further along the bucolic ambiance.  For more history on Astor Row, check out our past post on the time Brooke Astor visited the legendary homes and founded a charity to have them fixed up after decades of neglect: LINK
