Construction at the corner of FDB by 145th Street has been going on for several months now and word of mouth has been quite accurate on what will arrive to the commercial space at street level.
Our past post mentioned several tips came in that this storefront will actually be a 7-Eleven and we received the above photo yesterday that pretty much confirms that the commercial convenience shop will indeed be the anchor tenant. The national chain has taken over downtown neighborhoods such as Chelsea so it only makes sense they move further north to Harlem. With that said, if property owners want to attract more boutique, small businesses to the area, rent breaks or affordable rents should be part of the conversation.
