REMEMBER: ANTONIO LOPEZ STUDIO CIRCA 1983
Puerto Rican fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez was probably at the height of popularity back in 1983 and this gem from the internet provides a glimpse of the artist's studio. Models like the legendary Pat Cleveland would be hanging out waiting to be drawn on any given day and break dancers would also drop by to get the energy up at the workspace. Andy Warhol makes an appearance at the 3:40 mark and this very low quality clip provides a glimpse into a time when the fashion circles seem to be more organic and less contrived than those promoting themselves today. Mr. Lopez grew up in El Barrio and an exhibit of the illustrator's work has just debuted at El Museo del Barrio: LINK
