It was announced last year that Harlem Shake on Lenox Avenue will be opening a second branch in East Harlem and now that location is making some major progress. We walked by the corner of East 111th Street yesterday and saw that the new facade is nearly complete with the signature awning in place. El Barrio has a lot of new construction happening these days and more better businesses now appear to be opening up in the area. Harlem Shake started up a great local eatery in Central Harlem and should definitely be a local favorite on the east side when doors finally open in the coming weeks. More in our past post:
