ARCHITECTURE: CLASSIC TO MODERN ON 126TH

Harlem Bespoke:  Uptown architecture has been moving along in recent decades and this can be seen over on 126th Street just east of Lenox Avenue.  Brownstones and decorative prewar apartment buildings still make a majority of the housing stock but more modern variations have made there way up with various degrees of success.  The stark midcentury designs have pretty much been a standard after the 1950s but the new millennia has introduced more ambitious works.  With property values at an all time high, we expect either more modern stock to come about or the classic revival which has also been very popular as of late: LINK
