DEMOLITION: THE NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE BUILDING
Harlem Bespoke: There was an announcement last year mentioning that the National Black Theatre building on Fifth Avenue by 125th Street would make way for a 20-story tower and that day appears to be approaching. Elizabeth Dee Gallery is currently one of the commercial tenants in place and now has to vacate because the site will be demolished soon. The National Black Theatre will be part of the new construction but it looks like the gallery will be moving elsewhere. For more on the development, check out our past post: LINK
