DRINK: THE BEER HALLS OF HARLEM 2018




Harlem Bespoke: Beer drinking season is upon us and beer halls have been quiet popular uptown over the years.  Below is the Bespoke list of all the notable beer establishments that can be found uptown.

Bierstrasse, 2346 12th Avenue at 133rd Street. Harlem's most deluxe beer garden has impressive views of the viaduct in Manhattanville: LINK

Bier International, 2099 Frederick Douglass Boulevard by 113th Street. Harlem's first modern beer hall on FDB is local favorite since 2010:   LINK

Harlem Ale House, 101 West 127th Street, east of Lenox.  Harlem's newest pub has vintage vibes and cold brews:  LINK

Harlem Public, 3612 Broadway at the corner of 149th. Hamilton Heights' favorite bar serves up great grub along with a list of draft beers: LINK

Harlem Hops, 2268 7th Avenue by 133rd Street.  Another new entry in Central Harlem has vintage lights and exposed brick ambiance: LINK

Hogshead Tavern, 126  Hamilton Place by 142nd Street.  Another local Hamilton Heights favorite in a well-designed space: LINK

Hop House, 2224 Frederick Douglass Boulevard at 120th Street. A spacious FDB beer hall with sidewalk seating: LINK

East Harlem Bottling Co., 1711 Lexington by 107th Street: The top Bespoke pick for brews on the east side: LINK

Harlem Tavern, 2153 Frederick Douglass Boulevard at the corner of 116th Street.  Another old favorite on FDB used to be an old gas station in a previous life: LINK
