DWELL: 30 WEST 130TH STREET RETURNS TO MARKET

Harlem Bespoke:  How much for an SRO on Astor Row in 2019?  The single room occupancy house at 30 West 130th Street has returned to market with an asking of $1.395 million which is a bit lower than the initial $1.6 million listed last year.  As previously mentioned, we especially like these landmark country homes with wood porch out front but there are some factors to consider. The house in question looks to be in a somewhat livable condition but even if all gets converted to a single-family home, there is one glaring problem.

Number 28 West 130th Street next door has been abandoned for years and is a major eyesore which could detract from the overall curb appeal of the historic SRO.  This is one of those situations where the owner is out of sight and appears to not be ready to sell anytime in the foreseeable future.  Whole Foods and the express trains on Lenox are just 5 blocks away from this location so those who want to plan far in advance might see the benefit of making an investment here.  More photos on Streeteasy: LINK
