Harlem Bespoke: Most of the sales in Central Harlem for 2018 hovered around the the mid $2 million or $3 million price points but one townhouse within a historic district sold even higher. Number 251 West 138th Street on Strivers Row first arrived on the market in summer 2017 for $4.175 million, had a contract out by the new year and records show that the sale closed for exactly $4 million early in 2018. As previously mentioned, the 20-foot-wide corner townhouse has a lot of original details intact within but might need slight upgrades in the kitchen or bath areas. Higher-end brownstone sales involve the more desirable single-family layout but Number 251 has been divided into two units. As with most of the historic homes on the block, a garage can be found out back and there is an outdoor space set above that aforementioned amenity.
