SHOP: MORE DETAILS AT 81 EAST 125TH STREET
Harlem Bespoke: We ran into a familiar face this weekend while taking photos on Sunday and got some inside news on the newest cafe that will be opening uptown. The sibling in the family-run business known for fresh pressed African juice drinks revealed that their new cafe was at 81 East 121st Street which happens to be the Corn Exchange Building.
Signs had been up in March announcing the arrival of the first anchor tenant at the restored landmark by the Metro North Station by Park Avenue but it details were still unclear on the direction of the new establishment. Those familiar with the blog over the years will guess that Ginjan Brothers are the local business aforementioned and the duo will also be bringing various regional African coffees to the mix with preparations that will be a new global experience for many in the neighborhood.
The Diallo brothers originally were respectively in finance and engineering but the love of starting up their own business with a traditional African pineapple ginger juice recipe would eventually become an undeniable calling. Ginjan juice drinks can be found at Whole Foods but now will alos be featured in the near future at this new address that will appropriately be called Ginjan Cafe. All of the infrastructure and build outs have been completed so expect an opening sometimes in July. Check out the original video on the two Harlem brothers in our past post from 3 years ago: LINK
