Harlem Bespoke: Industry news outlets
speculated back in spring that the Lidl buyout of Best Market will result in conversions of all US stores and that now appears to be official. This low-price direct competitor to Trader Joe's has now posted a sign in the window of the Best Market on FDB by 118th Street providing further details on the future transition.
There is a current
website page that breaks down the timeline for the transition and it appear 4 stores outside of the city will be converted by summer 2020 and everything else within a 2-3 year period. More updates will be posted from time to time when other conversions are confirmed but late 2020 is probably the earliest that is possible for Harlem at this point in time.
