Harlem Bespoke: We generally do not show a majority of pieces for an art opening so that readers can discover everything in real life but times has since changed. The extraordinary exhibit of works by Bisa Butler opened at the Claire Oliver gallery in Central Harlem just weeks ago and the following photos are a virtual exploration of the massive quilts.
Figurative artwork especially by women has been in the spotlight lately and every one of the new works has sold out. Another point of interests is that the artist takes references from old black and white photos of the Harlem Renaissance and brings everything to life in a modern way. Check out the more detailed photos of other pieces in our past post: LINK
