REMEMBER: SAMUEL HARGRESS OF PARIS BLUES

Harlem Bespoke:  Samuel Hargress Jr. founded Paris Blues on Adam Clayton Powell by 121st Street back in 1969 and has seen a lot of changes in Harlem but the sad news was announced earlier this week that the notable uptowner has passed away due to complications of COVID-19.  The mainstream news has not yet picked up on the story but multiple individual local sources have confirmed as much.  Mister Hargress was always at the lounge for over 51 years and was a pillar of the community who will be greatly missed.  An earlier version of this post mentioned the corona virus but may inaccurate.  One of the first messages announcing the news was on the Showman's Facebook post on Tuesday: LINK
