Harlem Bespoke: A historic single-family home was purchased almost two years ago at 137 West 122nd Street but apparently not much has been happening on the site as of late. We noticed that the windows had plywood up on them when walking by the address just east of 7th Avenue this past week but no paperwork had been posted out front. Online DOB permits show that a conversion to a 4-family layout is currently the end goal but some of the recent applications have not been approved. A lot of developers in the past decade have been mostly converting chopped up brownstones into their original layout (which appeals more to families looking for a home) but apparently now some have decided to go the other direction.
