One of the best things to get in our opinion would be the beer battered fish or cajun shrimp tacos which comes in pairs for $12 and really are quite delicious. Jumbo hotdogs for $5 each were the biggest we have had all summer and definitely worth the splurge. A Thai chili sauce fried calamari for $12 was also stellar and we prefer this to the somewhat basic fried clam strips that are also an offering. As far as vegetables go, the kale caesar salad for $11 comes in a huge portion and rounds things off nicely. All of the drinks served up on a plastic cup are all apropos to the outdoor setting but we especially enjoyed the grapefruit beer which was more like a canned cocktail with real grapefruit juice mixed in. EAT: LAST DAYS OF SUMMER AT BAYLANDER
Harlem Bespoke: The Baylander Steel Beach opened at the West Harlem Piers on far West 125th Street over the summer and might of been really hard to get a table at the time but things should be a little different now. Fall is officially here so there should be less of a scene to maneuver through at the popular Hudson River venue. With that said, we tried out a few more things on the menu earlier on in the season and have some recommendations.
