TAKEOUT: STRIVERS ROW CHEFS FOR THANKSGIVING

Harlem Bespoke: Takeout will be a big part of Thanksgiving this year since many are not traveling and just staying put as a social distancing protocol.  With that said, some folks might want to splurge a little and order from the notable chefs of the neighborhood.  A couple of bespoke choices can be found by the Striver Row historic district for takeout which will be some of the best bets for the season.  Book in advance before quantities run out and pickup on the assigned days.

Belle, 138th and Adam Clayton Powell Jr.  Chef Darryl Burnette has come up with a 4 course fully cooked  meal to pickup and heat at home.  Adobo Rubbed Turkey Breast with homemade sausage stuffing, signature brussel sprouts with preserved lemon, mashed potatoes, haricot verts, gravy and cranberry ginger compote are some of of the menu items.   Everything starts out for $180 which serves 2 people and can be booked in advance via RESY

Reverence, 138th and Frederick Douglass. Celebrity chef Russel Jackson has a deluxe 10-12 pound Local Heritage Walnut Brined Turkey kit, Bottle of Reverence Seasonal Vin de Maison Black, Roasted Shallot Gravy, Dad’s Oyster Stuffing, Fermented Honey Lacquered Carrots, Roasted Japanese Sweet Potatoes, Celery Root Pomegranate salad and more to pickup.  The $325 prepared turkey kit which feeds 2-4 people requires some cooking at home to finish up the bird so a little preparation time needs to be set aside.  Get full details and order directly form the Reverence site: LINK
