CATERING: DELIVERY FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Harlem Bespoke: A couple of Harlem eateries came through over the past Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday weekend when other restaurants could not take orders for several hundred meals.  We had dropped by Il Caffe Latte on Lenox Avenue by 119th Street for a quick coffee and the owner had boxes of food stacked up ready to go and we wondered what was going on.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner orders were need to feed 100 people at a time at a local vaccination site and a lot of other businesses could not accommodate except for the cafe in the Mount Morris Park neighborhood.

Ponty Bistro on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard Jr. by 139th Street also had hundreds of bagged lunches shipped out to one of the uptown hospitals based on their social media account.  The french eatery by the Strivers Row neighborhood has a decent size kitchen and appears to have been taking big catering orders easily in the past few months at the last minute.  Any organization looking to get food to our local healthcare heroes should definitely give these two outstanding businesses a call.
