Harlem Bespoke: The Edge on Edgecombe at the corner of 139th Street and Edgecombe Avenue has opened up the outdoor dining space in the warm spring season. We dropped by this weekend for lunch and the tables out front along with the sidewalk shed was half full. There is also indoor dining at 50 percent capacity which the eatery has been really good at relegating.
We have to admit that when The Edge debuted back in 2014, it was like the main coffee shop on the strip for us but there is actually a lot of great crafted food to try out If you visit on any given day, one of the sister owners who have a Jamaican family history will be on site serving up some delicious Caribbean inspired cuisine.
Lunchtime during the week is usually quiet at most place in Harlem but The Edge is buzzing on all days except Mondays which is the only day the restaurant is close. The brownstone blocks in the immediate area are also under Landmark consideration so the view is quite exceptional. Justine and Juliette really put their heart into this establishment by St. Nicholas Park and the little cafe just a block from St. Nicholas Park is always worth the visit.
