TACO TUESDAY: BIRRIA AT LA CHULA



Harlem Bespoke:  Someone mentioned that La Chula on East 116th Street and Lexington Avenue had great birria tacos so we ventured out to the east side to see what it was all about.  Since the year started, the Bespoke crew has been trying a lot of birria uptown to see which places really make the best version of this trendy Mexican specialty.  So how was it?

We have to say that everything at La Chula was really solid and the crispiness of the taco-to-cheese ratio was probably one of the best to be found uptown.  The birria dipping stew was also on the richer side and made for a great second meal after all the tacos were eaten.  This once again is an all beef version instead of the traditional goat, so the flavors were not as robust as we probably would have preferred.  Overall a lot of high marks here and we will definitely be coming back.  More on La Chula can be found in our past post: LINK
