CONSTRUCTION: 121 WEST 125TH STREET RISES
Harlem Bespoke: We have not taken a photo of 121 West 125th Street since the foundation completed work earlier this past summer but now things are really picking up at the future site of Harlem's first Civil Rights Museum and the long-awaited Trader Joe's supermarket. The above photo taken over the weekend shows that six stories have already risen but there will need to be 11 more floors to finish up before this new development is ready for the public. This $242 million development still has some ways to go and the posters on the plywood around the site has a schedule set for July 2023 for the final opening date. So basically the building will be rising for the next few months and finishing the interior will take another year in addition for things to finally open up by this corner of Lenox Avenue. More on Trader Joe's can be found in our past post: LINK
