BESPOKE KIDS: GARDEN DRAWING AT MORRIS-JUMEL

Saturday,  May 14th, 1:00PM-3:00PM, Scientific Drawing in the Sunken Garden  at the Morris-Jumel Mansion, 65 Jumel Terrace, between 160th and 161st Street. In this workshop for children, gather in the Mansion's sunken garden to learn the basics of sketching and use some of the beautiful varieties of plants, herbs, and flower blossoms as our inspiration. Scientific drawing began in the field of botany where scientists drew plants to record their distinct characteristics. Modern scientists still practice scientific drawing by both drawing physical sketches and by using advanced software. You do not need to be an artist to sketch our natural environment.  Drawing kits supplied at this FREE event with registration at the MJM site: LINK
