Harlem Bespoke: The spring season is warming up this weekend with summer temperatures finally rising so ice cream will definitely be on everyone's minds! There are now quite a few boutique creameries to check out around Harlem and we put together a list that also happens to be all uptown POC small businesses to support while out & about in the neighborhood.
Sugar Hill Creamery Lenox by 119th Street and Broadway by 150th Street. Harlem's most famous artisanal ice cream shop custom makes each flavor everyday and is also our favorite spot to get ice cream sandwiches: LINK
Crepe Master at 116th Street between Lenox and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard. Japanese style, gluten-free crepes are the main attraction which also come in sweet offerings that include a scoop of ice cream. Get the super deluxe Matcha Animistu for the most unique foodie experienceand share with a friend. Everything is made to order on site while you wait: LINK
Mikey Likes It on Frederick Douglass by West 134th Street. The second Manhattan location of the pop culture favorite opened up in Harlem back in 2017 and serves up colorfully named combinations as a scoop or in between one of the famous waffle sandwiches made to order: LINK
Avrilililly's on Amsterdam and west 139th Street is uptown's newest specialty shop which just opened in February that also features quirky gelato offerings of the day and the most beautifully decorated cupcakes. Definitely worth checking out as the weather warms up: LINK
