JAZZ & INDIGENOUS AT NATIONAL JAZZ MUSEUM
Saturday, June 4th, 2:00PM, Delbert Anderson Quartet live at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, 58 West 129th Street, just east of Lenox. Another cultural center that has re-opened recently is the National Jazz Museum in Central Harlem which now welcomes back live events. DDAT is a multicultural group fusing Indigenous musical traditions with the native southwest, jazz, funk and hip-hop. James Pakootas motivates with stories overcoming difficult paths and is supported by improvisational trumpet artist Delbert Anderson, national touring artist Nicholas Lucero and groove bassist Mike McCluhan. D’DAT creates a cross cultural collaboration to give audiences an exciting multi-cultured performance. D’DAT’s contemporary Indigenous sound not only attracts listeners but also tells the stories of traditions and personal identity
